Brendan Murray

Brendan Murray

Brendan Murray grew up on the northwest side of Chicago, where he was born and raised by a police family. After graduating from St. Edward Grade School, located in the Mayfair Park neighborhood of Chicago, he attended Notre Dame College Prep (formerly known as Notre Dame High School). There, he found his first steps toward the field of law. Upon completion of high school, he attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he played four years of football and studied a great many topics. Majoring in Government with a focus on International Relations, he encountered numerous occasions where the field of law revealed itself to be paramount in American society, as well as society in general. He took a year off between undergraduate school and law school to work in the real world. During that year, he worked first as a general laborer for Jacobs Boiler and Mechanical, and then as helper on a Flood Brothers refuse truck. Finally, he enrolled in Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida and graduated there in 2016. He successfully passed the State of Illinois Bar Exam and is licensed to practice in Illinois.

Since Brendan was a young child, his nature revealed itself to be that of an advocate and a champion for others. He has always sought to fight for ideals such as justice, fairness, equality, freedom, and to honor truth. He has always been called, and answered the call as much as possible, to be the defender of, or otherwise come to the aid of, those in need – whether that required him to just listen and provide counsel, advice, or consoling; whether it simply required him to clarify misunderstandings between two parties; or, whether it required him to answer the call for genuine instances of injustice, abuse, or other serious problems that develop due to the reality of our human experience.

This nature has been guided and honed by each level of education, and it is impossible for him to thank every person as fully as he would like to for their support and wisdom along his journey. The values, philosophies, religion, and principles that were taught and then exemplified by his mentors, teachers, professors, parents, coaches, etc. have led him to the field of law. It is not a pretty business, it is not a practice that will likely bring fame and fortune, but it is a field in which he is given great opportunity to aid others in their life’s journey in many versatile ways. He does not relish the fact that people are in need of legal representation, but he is proud to offer his services, because he knows that the type of individual he is, and that the type of people he works with at Salvi & Maher, L.L.C., are the type of people who are in this line of work for the right reasons and will do everything in their power to represent their clients in the right way. Leading by example, the attorneys at Salvi & Maher, L.L.C., will represent clients with dignity, respect, and passion.
